Biography
Carol D Guerrero-Murphy has a long history of publishing and teaching poetry, including her new chapbook Inside Passage (lulu.com); three books (Tablewalking at Nighthawk, a WILLA (Women Writing the West) finalist; CAL Award for Chained Dog Dreams; and Bright Path Dark River). Her current manuscript, Feral Weather contains poetry responding to the Marshall Fire destruction of December 2021, where she lost her home. Writing coach; editor; fire survivor; professor of prisoners, MFA students; grammie; writer. Ph.D. Denver University. Journal publications include Pilgrimage, Missouri Review, Roanoke Review, Denver Quarterly, Prairie Schooner, Southwest Literary Review, Tendrils, and many others. Pieces in anthologies including Manifest West vol. 1 and 2 and Bronze Bird, Last Stanza, Dos Gatos Press anthology Notes of Dark and Light (winter 2026).
